VJ Ho-Tep
VJ Ho-Tep (aka Tom Byrne) is a California Bay Area-based Producer / Artist. He arrived in San Francisco via Ann Arbor with the elevator muzak outfit The Psychedelic Lounge Cats, eventually working with bands Mol Triffid, The Jazz Weasels and The Mr. Lucky Experience. Coloration and imagery guided his musicality, and he added editing and camera work to his skillset, eventually finding work as Video Director with Mr. Toad’s Recording Studio (San Francisco) and modern dance ensemble Xeno. Byrne is a trained actor, stand-up comic and has recently finished writing a feature-length screenplay, the 4th episode of his My Son, the Mummy Quintology. VJ Ho-Tep’s efforts and shows are subjectively-curated mash-ups spanning the length and breadth of the 20th Century, with a bit of 21st thrown in to taste. Enjoy, and wear it in good health!
